Dr. Chugh earned his medical degree from Dayanand Medical College and Hospital in Punjab, India in 1989. He then went on to gain experience and improve his skills and knowledge with an internship at University of Illinois Hospital the following year and a residency at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois in 1993. In 2000, Dr. Chugh established his private practice in the Chicago Heights area, and he also lends his expertise to local hospitals by serving as medical director at Vitas Hospice Program 37 and Vitas Inpatient Hospice Unit.
Dr. Chugh is a Board-certified physician with the American Board of Internal Medicine. His professional affiliations also include being a member of the American Medical Association and a member of the American College of Physicians-American Society of Internal Medicine.
As part of his commitment to making sure patients receive outstanding medical care, he’s able to provide treatment for a broad range of medical issues on short notice. He also coordinates with other doctors and specialists, including cardiologists and general surgeons, to ensure that patients get the care they need.
